Rajiv Srinivasan
Now there is an American name to admire. It is outside of the common mold and deserves to be. I read some of the MilBlogs and got directed to his blog. The top blog is about his homecoming – sweet and bitter sweet. He has been ‘there’ for the last 360 days. And, the blog details his homecoming.
He writes well. Better than most of us and far above my efforts. I’ve read down a bit and intend to keep reading. It is looking like my Saturday project.
What is America all about? Well, on its good days, it is about Rajiv and all those like him. It is about a boy raised with values to admire. American have long been run through life's crucible. It forges something pretty grand at times.
My last blog made fun of Mil Spec. It can be a giggle. But, there are also Mil Specs that can transcend man and the platoon leader here is damn fine Mil Spec.
