Define d-bag please
crAAKer competes with Grump for the top redundancy prize. Why is it I can never get beyond honorable mention?
His latest d-bag offering is about Soccer and cards — no, this one is as devoid of poker content as this site is getting. Now our youth don’t regularly progress to the brilliance displayed by their elders — like crAAKers and yours truly. Like the rest of humanity, they learn from their mistakes. Unlike requirements for the rest of us, we admonish them to learn from them.
Craakers (enough with the funny caps) see the kids as d-bags. It promotes the politically correct view of a high school’s administration. They made fun of illegal aliens and they have more rights than the rest of us these days. You can read his take but follow his link to understand the details.
All this fits in with making Arizona a pariah. Ignore the fact that this is a democracy that is supposed to be self-correcting. Ignore the right to free speech which the new Supreme Court nominee posits subject to interpretation based on the quality of the remark. Ignore states right that are guaranteed.
Politicians when faced with a serious problem switch to a different subject. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the “emigration” issue. The politically correct issues are hashed and rehashed. The hows, whys and effects of this lack of policy are never addressed.
First off, the problem is real and if I lived in Mexico I’d learn to swim too. Mexico is a failed state. It has long been one and conditions are such that it is getting worse. Proponents point to poor folks with little other chance for survival or success coming across the river. Along with them come minions of the drug lords and other law breakers. These go beyond breaking the simple rules of ‘Emigration’ as defined by the PC types. Emigration — rightly or wrongly accomplished — is a regulated function controlled by the Federal government. These are not emigrants according to the old text and law books.
Failed states can make a come back. As a member of one in the failure process, I appreciate that. We actually did some good for Columbia. In fact those successes helped add pressure to the Mexican situation. But, Columbia sought our help. During his recent visit the Mexican President lectured us on our shortcomings like Arizona.
The actual biblical quote is different from common usage. Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. That is more rather than less. As long as the Mexican President talks at us and our leadership doesn’t correct the issues raised, there will be no workable solution.
There is nothing wrong with sympathy for those abused by others. It is our tradition to try to help. But help is not being sought. That leaves us disadvantaged and also leads to frustration. Arizona is not mean spirited; it is frustrated. And, it has gotten no help with the problem other than lip service. It looks like some of that has spread to Craaker’s area. But I think he’s missed in determining his d-bag for the day.
We are selectively enforcing our laws. This extends to the highest court in our land. A true d-bag was do for release as a sex offender — he had served the proscribed sentance. Yet the court held he could be retained in prison indefinitely. Only one Justice dissented.
We favor the illegals because they are perceived as nice. We penalize the scum because they aren’t. And in the process we rewrite and reinterpret or ignore our legal system. That doesn’t hurt or help a particular class; it strikes at all of us.
It is time to face our problems and not deny anyone their right to free speech in the process.
