Frontline
Wow did you see the Obama show on Frontline last night? Did they tear all the politicians a new one! Man, PBS was sounding like Fox there for a while.
They did a hell of a job. All the backroom crap that Obama said had to go was part of the game. The show was ecumenical. Republicans and Democrats alike were hoisted on their petards.
All that was well and good but a solution to the mess isn’t handy. We, the American populace, have a history of getting PO’d and then not following through. The pols understand that and will hunker down and wait us out. This bout does look like it could grow better legs though.
I did see the White House bragging that their estimate of their budget was giving a 300-billion savings . I guess it is getting pretty rough when their claim to fame is that the thought they’d overspend revenue by 1.6 trillion is now down to a paltry 1.3 trillion.
