Let me assure you.

Sorry! I meant insure you. I've mention in a blog or three that a big part of the health insurance racket is based on state controls. This is outlined in great detail in a blog I'll list for you if you'll only give me another page click.

It is right here. It explains the background of this as a states rights issue. It explains how mandates muddy the waters.

Suppose the insurance across the state line is 18% cheaper than my policy. Well, I can't buy it. And the state thinks it has valid reasons to act like my mother just one more time. My state might insist that they offer in vetro and acupuncture. So, even though the likelihood of a 69 year old man seeking a child is remote and my considering acupuncture on a par with medicine men, I'm prohibited from saving a nice chunk of change -- sans test tubes and needles.

Thank you, government for looking out for my interests and proposing more costly insurance as the solution.  Oops, I have Medicare; so make that less insurance -- period.
