Today
It is Veteran's day. Being a veteran is a special feeling. For my generation it wasn't one of choice. Today, we owe such people even more.
Today we have a volunteer force. Volunteer veteran is a powerful statement. Isaiah says it well:
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
That is today's veteran's credo. It is a multi-generational force that can call itself our finest generation.
It is 1% of our population that makes our nation one of liberty for the 99% of the rest.
