Evers to Tinker to Chance
Double plays can happen anywhere. Today I had one as a reminder of the past. Good or bad those always have a bitter-sweet quality.
It started off with Pauly blogging about Liz Lieu – he's pretty consistent at finding reasons for that. The very first picture there shows her as an open and engaging young women.
The light bulb lit and Craig Cunningham was in that spotlight. We'd shared being bloggers at Pokerworks. Craig got their gig at WSOP and would interview players for the site. One of those was Liz Lieu I seemed to recall. CC did the best interviews on the web in my opinion. He did his homework and didn't make it on the clichés that seem the staple. You actually thought you knew something new about the people he interviewed. Liz was one of those.
CC has pulled the disappearing act of late. The last post of his that I could find was almost a year ago. You hate to lose the nice people. Time does its march though.
ADDENDUM:
While on PW for a visit, I caught Linda's blog on Bob Stupak. It too lets you see more than just the canned platitudes and the cut/paste from the curriculum vitae. Linda talking about her dealer days are something else that's infrequent. She's at her best with those. There was a lot of honesty in those blogs. Not a lot of places where that mixes with the media side of poker.
