I’m hardly enamored with the commentary of the WSOP commentators. If you want to talk gamesmanship, they don’t embrace the normal, expected courtesy of play in favor of there own form of slow-rolling, angle-shooting patter.
The hand in question is below:
Did Jack really slow roll or was it simply age mixed with adrenaline? When you mix the two it can get palsied. I’ll go with that.

That’s a pretty typical play out here in California. It’s a slowroll, but coming from a guy who’s 97, I don’t feel that bad about it. You could almost argue that he didn’t slow roll. He asked the dealer if he should turn over his cards before he did. He even announced to the kid, “You’re in trouble.” Seems above board to me.

Everything has to have an edge added by some editor, commentator or writer these days. Reality TV is a prime example. It either editing with a bias or requiring lobotomies of the contestants. Of course none of it is as bad as the evening news.
