Why Ultimate Bet
You’ve seen me talk about this site in the past. I refer to it as the last site acting like those I played before the UIGEA hit. What makes me say that?
Well, they offer bonus programs to not only new depositors but do it on a frequent basis to those who have already funded. Just before the start of the month. I put $50 on the site. I’d withdrawn a while back after they upgraded/combined sites. All-in protection went away and they made it worse by causing you to leave the table when you got a disconnect.
So, why did I return? It is soft and the bonus softens the rake penalty that one experience on other sites. Their bonus program can be reviewed here. It is easy to make contender. I’ve already done so. I was at legend level when I quit. That be hard to do because of the lower level I am playing at but might be doable.
Here is my real money account after 2 weeks of play and the $50 deposit:
Available: $211.78
In Play: $0.00
Bonus Dollars: $852.50
Status points required to release $5: 89
I’ve probably come close to this success for a short time frame but I can’t recall better – especially at the limits that I am currently playing at.
Now $80 of that came from a tournament. I sold points (3572) for $25. I have cleared an additional $40 in bonus playing 1082 hands at a profit of $28.99 minus $17.25 in rake. If I had played just as well on FullTilt or PokerStars, I’d be $65 poorer. That is a nice difference. Taking advantage of bonus offers when they came will keep that going.
The games are softer there – in my view, anyway – than the sites mentioned. They’ve got a nice bad beat setup for those who play Hold’em and like that. Stud is probably the least active area but I can almost always find some activity. StudE is very active. There is usually a HORSE game to be had. The Hold’em flavor are prolific. Omaha I don’t really watch often.
Should you play there? I can’t say that you should. I’m just saying it is the most lucrative option I have. Of course I’d like the referral and you can find that in the right column near the top. Duhh. We’d all like those. But, I’ll still recommend the UB to you, regardless. You can get and clear bonus there easier than on any site I’ve ever played — before and after the UIGEA.
ADDENDUM:
Configuring the site is progressing. That isn’t apparent from viewing. What has gotten better is setting up the stuff that I wanted. I have Analytics function fully now. I have Google webmaster stuff working too. The only hard part of that has been determining the file and location to copy stuff too. So, the success is very incremental.
My Alexa rank seems to have transferred OK. Goggle didn’t. I lost page rank in the move. But, I don’t really do this for Google. And, if money were the reason, I’d still be on PokerWorks. My wildest dream wouldn’t get this site to a fraction of the income I enjoyed from there.
I don’t know if many or most of my readers made it here yet. I had few page hits to show for the writing; but, weekend are slower — especially this time of year. I do know that the spammers have made it. Four so far today. The guy bombarding me with links — over a hundred most weeks — hasn’t shown up though. Askmet has shortstopped the spam and sent it to the penalty box for me. Life’s pretty good here and looks to get better.
